Spring Forward/Fall Back
Re: Spring Forward/Fall Back
I live 500 yards north of the border, so my clocks are set for BC time. Washington has passed law to stay on daylight savings time. It’s just waiting on House approval.

"California voters approved the change in an initiative ballot, but legislators have not yet made the change.
Oregon is moving toward the change, with approval in the Senate but not yet in the House.
Washington State’s Governor Jay Inslee signed a law earlier this year to move permanently to daylight time, but the change needs approval from the U.S. Congress, which has not indicated when or whether it would accept the shift."

I live on retired time. I get up when I want to and go to bed when I want to. Clocks mean very little to me.

Me, too.
But, I'm a creature of habit and I live with a cat who is even more of one -- and she has an unfailing internal clock. If I stray too far outside of the usual bed time/wake time parameters, she checks me on it. She's especially effective in the morning. If the birds are active and I'm not out of bed yet, she'll stick her little nose in my face and mew 'til I get up, after which she'll gallop to the other end of the house and wait there with her tail darting about until her little chin and head gets a two handed rub to start our predictable morning routine. Two creatures of habit. The clock on the wall has nothing to do with it.

TN wants to stay on DST, but according to my State Rep., the Feds have the final say. Ridiculous, the Feds need to but out of things of this nature.
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

I love the outdoors, especially daylight hours, so, the more daylight hours, the better!

Re: Spring Forward/Fall Back
It's a good thing I'm retired and can usually sleep as late as I want, Callie can't go very long without waking me up. She can decide it's time to play at 4 AM and can go for a couple of hours. She gets spayed on Monday, maybe that will mellow her out a bit. I showed the Vet a video of her and Leroy wrestling and he said I'll have to keep them separated for at least a week or she could pull a stitch. I guess they'll have to take turns being locked in the bedroom with Maggie, my 14 year old, she's usually sleeping on bed anyway.CT_Shooter wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 12:04 pmMe, too.

She's a little bigger now, photo is a couple of months old. They were wrestling within a week or me getting her. Just playing, no claws and just gentle bites but they get pretty serious.

All the daylight I saved must be in an off shore account. I can't ever find it again.

Re: Spring Forward/Fall Back
My biggest complaint about my smartphone is it has a dumb owner.
I wish my furnace was tied to the sun and not a clock. It should come on at sunrise whatever time that is and float through out the winter months.
