H010 45/70 range report

Post by Grunt67 » Tue Sep 29, 2020 5:10 pm

Took the 45/70 out today for a little scope adjustment I didn't get to finish weeks ago. Too hot to stay out there.

So, the shots at top are where I started, moving on down to the finish at bottom.
Range was 25 yds, with the Led Sled. 7 shots, finished about 1/2 inch above center, which is what I wanted.

Well, the pic came thru sideways. Oh, well......

Fine on my end too. The windage looks great. I take it you were making adjustments on the scope for elevation.

Full power, my hand loads. Adjusting for elevation.
This rifle is more accurate than I am. I could make a milkshake, even with the Sled, LOL
Now all I need is a 26 pts. buck to walk out broadside, stop & eat awhile.

Thanks, guys.

You got that right. Last time I shot it, with out the Sled, my shoulder was sore for 2 weeks. I can only imagine how that would be without the recoil pad.
