I started playing in a band again last year and am having a ball. I am not trying to make a living playing and enjoy more now than ever. Last year for Christmas my wife bought me a new guitar that I have wanted for a long time.
It was a bit pricy but you can't take it with you. Of course now with all that is going on there ar no jobs tp play in central NY, but maybe in time.

I do understand how the virus had put the hurt on the live music scene. Hope you can get together with your friends and do some jamming soon.

Hey All,
Beautiful Tele! I have a Tele also but not as nice as that. Mine is a baja.
When I first looked at yours I thought really nice and was goin to another thread but the top view picture of yours kept bugging me until I realized it was the pick guard bugging me - where have I seen that before? So I did some looking till I found that it's a Merle haggard and it does cost a very very pretty penny. Congrats!
For me that would likely be a case queen special event guitar not one for playing out with.

Easy Ed, Yes it is the Merle Haggard tuff dog telly. Hard to believe that an old country boy like Merle could design such a great looking and playing guitar. The band I am in doesn.t play in bars. Not to much of a problem with fights. VFW, Elks clubs and other special events .Most all are 3 hour gigs. That's plenty for us old farts.

My "Tele" style is a Reverend Pete Anderson Eastsider "T". I can't afford a custom Fender. You've got a great wife there to get that for you.
