Survived a hot day at the Bullseye Saloon!

Post by fortyshooter » Tue Jul 14, 2020 1:46 pm

Well according to the weather report today would be best out of the rest of week as far as tolerable heat and humidity so gathered up
my Ruger Bisley 44 Flattop and headed out this morning.
I had repaired my beer bottle knock over racks and wanted to set them up and get some shots in before it got to hot so this is just a short video.

The .44 FT shot well and better than I could today and it was fun to enjoy the Saloon targets again and might be a while until we get some cooler weather to really enjoy an extended shoot. You feel it when the 10:00 AM sun gets up and on your back and it's humid!

Was 15 yds. out from target shooting one hand of course and my load was the 240 gr. Missouri Bullet "K" style SWC with 5.0 gr. of Red Dot
which had shown to be a nice accurate load.

Can't wait till Fall weather gets here or at least one of those rare summer cool days to really enjoy shooting again.

Enjoy! https://youtu.be/gSW7oOMKAxY

I'm building my range with shade. 100 degrees plus last week.
Love the setup. Too bad we didn't get a chance to shoot together, your place or mine, before I headed west.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Try to determine which time of day you will do most shooting as to where to setup your target area.
Due to my property layout shooting towards the West for the Saloon area and to the South for the other range is what it had to be.
Yes lots of shade would be good!

Hey forty did you know that you hummmm when you are loading. You missed the cowboy because he jumped at the last second! I sure wish I could shoot something besides pellets at my home range.
