What did you do at your reloading bench today?

broke the primer punch pin in our Universal Deprimer Die with only a handful of 38's left .... called RCBS and told them I broke the pin and would like to order some replacements .... having dealt with RCBS since the mid 60's I was not surprised but delighted to hear that they would send some replacements at no charge

Loaded up some 180 gr .357 and 250gr .45Colt. Heading for the range in about an hour. About time!

Hey Rifletom, just got back from the range yesterday. Shot the same rounds. 180 Missouri HI Tek .357 from the Henry and .45 250 grn from the Henry and Blackhawk.

I really like my load on the 180s, it will be my standard now.

UPDATE ===>

as shown below .... after writing the above I removed the threaded cap that holds the pin .... to my surprise, what looked like a small spring fell out .... while it is obviously a spring, its been compressed into serving as a spacer .... after getting it apart, I realized that I didn't know if the spring is supposed to be on top of the cap of the pin our if the pin is supposed to be inserted into the spring .... took a quick look and couldn't find a diagram so, once again, I called RCBS .... this time there was no wait .... I told the fellow that I called a couple of days ago and had a question .... I mentioned the compressed spring, he didn't have to look up anything in his computer and jumped right in .... he asked for our shipping address and told me that he is shipping a complete new rod and additional spare springs and pins .... once again not surprised by RCBS's customer service but once again was delighted by it .... when the replacement arrives I plan to take it apart and see exactly where the spring goes

Great Shootin RnG. I like that HS-6 as well in the 45 colt. Ive had good luck with it there and in 40 S&W

I've accumulated enough brass, powder, primers, to last me for a while. Got to get busy now correcting that situation. It's a vicious cycle, I can't seem to break.

Ive got some 200gr 45 colt bullets on order from them to. Been on order for a while. What weight universal charge are you using Bret

I settled on 14.5 of Universal under the 350's. They are very accurate and not punishing to shoot. The 12.5 of Trail boss under the 405's are just silly fun suppressed and easy shooting but not quite as accurate.

Yeah those are my 3/4oz lite 20G loads for my old Stevens 311 SXS. I like to take the SXS sporting clays shooting sometimes just for the fun of it. I reload for everything I shoot actually except rimfire. I load .32acp, .32 S&W Long, .38 Special,.357 mag, 9mm, .45acp in pistol rounds and .22 Hornet, .224/5.56, .308, 30-06, 45-70, 20g & 12g.

earlier today I resized around around 700 mixed R-P and Starline 44 Mag cases .... doing so was the first significant use of our portable reloading equipment

Changed the 336 30-30 I am going to use in Lever Silhouette and working up some loads that worked well in it before. I am starting to keep better notes but I couldn't find any for these so I worked a few up from memory, 130grns HC's for chickens and pigs then 170' for turkeys and rams. I am going to find good loads for this rifle before I remove the scope and sight in with the peeps.

Yeah, I'd like to know the 170 load. Is it strictly for metal? Or a hunting load also? I have a load or two for that.

My 170grn load is a Speer Hot Core over 31.2 W748 with a magnum primer.
