Shillelagh Cane

Post by tx gunrunner » Sat Jul 09, 2016 9:43 am

Shillelagh Cane Walking Stick . You could it is a billy club . It is made from a Dog Wood root and the small ball on the top is super hard like a steel ball . No I didn't make it and I don't know if it is legal to carry it . Used correctly it will make a super weapon and much better then a knife . I wonder if there is any laws against using them as a walking stick ??????

That's a beautiful piece of woodwork, TGR. I would definitely use it as a walking stick, if it wasn't too difficult to keep a grip on it; and then act surprised if someone suggested that it might also be used as a club.

The ball is 2"x 2 7/8" and a tennis ball is 2 3/4" . I can manage ball with no problems and I have small hands and I not using it as a medical cane . I made this medical walking cane over 15 yrs ago out of a 3/8" stainless rod with a B&M shift handle on top that I had and used for over 50 yr on my race cars . :D It is perfect for that .,

I have a large wrench for towing balls and it can double as a weapon also. I keep it by the threshold of my car/truck. And I have a six D-cell flashlight that would do the job also. I keep it on the passenger side.

Never take a large wrench to a gun fight . If you jump out of your car or truck with that in your hand the bad guy will have every right to kill you in the 1st 2 steps . If you jump out of your car or truck with a cane and they shoot at a cripple old man they are in serous trouble . You can take a cane on airplanes and in is not a weapon . The shillelagh is in a gray area .
