My Humble Collection

Not so much a collection as a mish mash of knives I have acquired over the years.
Nothing of collector value just working knives and stuff I found.

Starting with the largest and newest. My new Kabar this is the smaller size with a 5 1/4" blade.


Next is My Case and Kabar two blade folders. The Case I bought when I was a Navy pup. The Kabar I found in Puerto Rico on the pier after a ship sailed out.


Two lock backs My Buck 112 and a Col. Littleton model.
The Buck was given to me in Spain when I worked on the line crew. Our boss was a civilian and he gave each member of the crew a knife.
The Littleton is a nice pocket knife, much thinner than the Buck and well made by a company in Tennessee. My son gave me that one.

Two more Lock backs a little different. A Gerber I bought a few years ago at Gander Mountain on sale. It has a locking main blade and a locking saw blade. I found it a bit too bulky for pocket carry. But it has a nice sheath. I think it was made in China.
The other is one of my tool kit knives. Commonly called an electricians knife. It has a regular folding main blade. And a locking screwdriver blade that also has a sharpened blade. It is made by Kline Tools and is a solid work knife. And it is USA made.


Two more of my working knives. A white Solingen Bear Hunter model. This one was made in Pakistan and is a very well made knife. I carried this at work for about ten years. Recently replaced with my Kershaws. The black knife is a Boker Tree Brand made in Germany. Great little knife but I rarely carried it. The medallion fell off sometime along the line. It came to me in one of my work tool kits.


Swiss Army knives seem to be attracted to me. I have only bought two, a silver one and a black one and I can't find the black one. I found all of these red ones in parking lots or sidewalks. Always look for the owner but wind up with one more. I have a couple more red ones that I could not find when rounding these up. One is the big monster with the spoon and fork.


The silver one is the one I bought. It is a Victorinox, I have found they are better made than the Wenger ones.


This is a cheap Chinese imitation.

I saved the two most valuable for last. They both were my Dad's and are among the very few items I have that were his. He passed away in 92 and some years later a fire destroyed most of the rest of his things.
He liked these little three blade pen knives. I remember when he broke the main blade on the older one. He sounded like I do now when I break something. In keeping with the site rules I won't repeat his words here.
That knife was made by imperial Knife Co. And is stamped Imperial Prov. USA It is a Diamond Edge branded model. I think he got it in the early 50's. It got used a lot.
It's replacement was the Old Timer Schrade Made in NY. Great little knife but I am sure that if he hadn't broken the other one he never would have bought it.

Several years ago my dad found this in a trash can and gave it to me. The knife blade was chipped like someone had used it to cut on wire or something hard. I dressed the blade and sharpened it and just kept it in my motorhome. Then at a local, small gun and knife show and I took it with me. One guy who had a table saw me carrying it and asked me over. He told me these were desirable and mine was in pretty nice shape and an early model with the fake 'pearl' grips. Anyway he noticed I was interested in his older Winchesters and offered to trade me the Case set for a fairly nice 1940s Mod 94 I was looking at but I decided against it and kept the Case set! Seems these were made from the mid 1930's to the 1960s and are getting pretty good prices on Ebay.

Here are a couple more both are CRKT knives. The first one I forgot to add to the OP It is made in the US.
It is a great little CRKT fixed blade called a Hunt' N Fisch. The designer was Larry Fischer He died of Pancreatic cancer before the knife was released. The added the Purple lanyard to honor him and bring attention to the fight for this cancer.
The leather sheath is very well made and looks great.





This one I got from the Shop Ruger store. They had a Mystery Box Sale before Father's Day. Had no idea what would be in the box but the disclaimers were very clear that the purchaser must be able to legally own a knife. So I figured there was a good chance there would be a "Ruger" Knife in it.
Nice little pocket knife that opens easily with a flick of the wrist. It is a CRKT model M16-10KZ. Made in China but very good quality.
