Finally figured out how to get this pic on here, LOL. Anyway, the new Henry 45/70 H010 carbine, i am now a proud owner of.
BTW, as I said, I ordered the free Henry case. Got an email from them, all good to go.
Want to thank everyone for their help with various things, reloading, ammo, care & maintenance, etc.
I've already gotten all my reloading supplies, dies, powder, bullets, primers, misc. Already reloaded 5 rds for experimental run.
Bought 2 boxes of Federal Fusion 300 gr HP, for sighting in, hunting, and brass to load.
Think I'm good to go for the immediate future. Go from there.
Thanks,folks,
Larry W. :D

Finally got around to checking the rifle over. Pulled the lever out & bolt. All had a good lube job for the time being. Checked the screws, all tight. Good to go. Rain tomorrow tho, dang it!!

Your 45-70 looks great. It's good to see it in your house and not online. Now if mama nature allows you to, get out and shoot it.

Hope you finally received your rifle. If not, don't give up as the shooting experience is fantastic. I got mine last summer and have a Redfield 3-9X40 scope on it and it is an awesome shooter. The shot groups at 100 yards with 405 grain LFN are fist pump good. I reload my brass so that makes shooting very economical. Good Luck.
