Went to the range with a new friend most fun rifle was the Henry Frontier 17HMR.

That's an interesting set of mounts and scope, it looks like an older 3/4" tube. What is it? And nice shootin'!

Maybe an old Weaver with tip-off rings??? Those seventeens are accurate.

The scope is a 1950s micro-view 4x on Weaver Tip-off rimfire mounts.

I did not think about that. Most of mine are bolt.

That's a neat old scope. Redfield made some 3/4" 4X scopes I think were meant for .22 rifles; they're pretty proud of them when I've see them for sale at gun shows, so I've never been able to play with one. Like this one, they'd fit nicely on a classic rim fire carbine.

It was on a '59 39a Golden Mountie that I bought a couple years ago.
The Mountie wears a receiver peep sight.
