Water Jug Mayhem

Post by runnin n gunnin » Mon Feb 24, 2020 11:06 pm

So over the weekend I loaded up some 45 colt, starline brass, CCI primer, Hunters 250 grain (0.452) cast over 6.1 grains of Bullseye, 900 fps.

Today it was 70 here in Arizona, light breeze, clear skies, beautiful day, so I decieded to put the Henry to work

Stacked four one gallon jugs back to back at 50 yards, shooting from prone.

No steel today, thought Id make it rain in the desert !

I hope all hands had an equally good day

No secret, I put my phone down on a rock, braced it with a stick, put the video on slow motion, ran back and took the shot. The stills were cut from the video. The video in slo mo is great. You hear the shot and it takes several seconds to see the jugs slowly start to burst and you can hear the water slowly rain down for the next several seconds.

Cant wait for watermelons to come into season !

I was using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10. Didn't know it could shoot in slow motion till my wife told me last weekend ! Phone was about 10 feet from the jugs.
