Yeah, if I didn't see a coffee cup, I'd be suspicious about it being a real Sir Henry range report.

Well the Rossi has a lanyard ring on the side. So I attached both sling hooks to the ring. The sling is then put around my shoulder/neck and you adjust the sling so when you push the Mares Leg away from you it tightens up the sling giving you good stability while aiming.Sir Henry wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 1:01 amTell me more. You push it out and it's easy to hold and move your body around to various targets.
I'll post up a still shot but here is a video of me hitting the gong from 80 yds with sling.

For some reason I had imagined pulling the rifle into the body like on a rifle. I’m thing your way would really work. Especially because I shoot them just like you do. I can put a saddle ring on my Henry ML.

Yes it does! You’re brilliant! I don’t think I could have hit the gong at 80.

Re: Range Report: 22 short Mare’s Leg
I just had another thought about working the lever with the sling attached. It must make it easier?
Shooting a ML quickly from the hip is easy but once shouldered it really slows me down compared to a lever rifle.

Great idea Forty. You might have sold some more ML with that post. Gene keep us posted on the SR install on the Henry.
