Feb 7th, 1860

Some 50 yd shooting today with my Henry 1860 rifle in 45 Colt. Shooting reloads; 200 gr LRNFP and 7.0 gn of Universal. No wind today at all, and temperature at 35F. Open sights on all. These are the little 3" targets that I bought last week. NCG is right, they are challenging and make you up your game for sure.

50 yds, shooting from 1 knee, sorry PT7, tried to hit the X on all but this is what I got...

50 yds, from 1 knee....a 12 round barrel-full, I might stick this one on the fridge.... :D

These 2 are off hand standing at 50 yds....tough to keep that barrel still, if you overthink it you're toast...

Last but not least, took me 3 or 4 rounds to nail it but here's a quarter at 25 yds from 1 knee...without the sun shining on it I doubt I could see it well enough from 25 yds. Look for the sparkle of light and hope for the best.

Appreciate the kind words all. I wish the wind would stay away more often. The way the feds here waste money they won't miss that quarter. :)

My Henry sure is a fun shooter!

I also put a lever wrap on today. It came with the butt cover but have not used it until today. Took a little getting used to. Jury out still. Looks cool.
