125gr in the Henry .357?

I am still in the honey moon phase and just diggin shooting and cycling my new Henry.

This I understand!

However its almost essential we all shoot 'paper' to see what our loads are doing.

Heck I rather be killing pine cones!

I was shooting paper... I just didn't take any pix
So all I have to share is my description. But I will be sure to be more scientific next time.
It is a blast! Even had a couple RO's come over to check her out!

No they looked better with faster follow up with the 125's. Except for the 3 hangups I was more accurate faster with the 125gr rounds. I'm not a new shooter just a new lever action guy.

I think the faster bullet was more forgiving of muzzle movement. I only shoot standing unsupported.

It's not unusual 125s may be more accurate for you.

Now you got me planning on loading up some 125s and trying them again!

I have always preferred 125s as a 'compromise' weight for .38/.357.

With the 158's standing unsupported at 25 yds I kept 25 rounds in about 7 inches. With the 125's I was able to make a nice ragged hole at about 4 inches with 50 rds. Again .. I won't win any contests but I really felt better with the 125's

I'm actually thinking monopod? Figured I would start another thread for thoughts. Light wieght, easy to carry through the desert and cheap!

They have always seemed a bit cumbersome to use but then I have NEVER used one.

Always been a 'kneeler' .
