First shots of 2020 with the .45 Colt Winchester
Got down to my range today to enjoy some great weather and my 1873 Uberti/Winchester rifle.
Shooting my 255 gr. Xtreme plated loads using the famous 8 gr. Unique...you had to work hard to miss anything at 50 yds.
Don't need no red dot on this one and even my old eyes won out with the buck horn sight beading down on that spray can
at 50 yds.! https://youtu.be/10-Xuxxyp-Q
After some steel plinking I put another can out at 65 yds. in front of the gong and got a 2 for 1 shot! https://youtu.be/mWitnKetLVc
Really enjoyed the afternoon with the sweet shootin' 45 Winny. Why do I even need a .357 lever rifle?

That's good shooting with a very nice looking rifle! Hard to beat those .45 Colt lever guns. Nicely done.

That is a gorgeous rifle. I held one last year at the local hardware store. Real gem. .357 Mag. Had some checkering on the arm and stock. Couldn't figure out what that little slot in the side of the receiver was though, thought maybe PEZ would come out...

Thanks! I found that rifle several years ago hanging on the wall in a small local shop.It was very lightly used,if at all and was sold by someone needing cash. It was almost lost by all the AR type rifles hanging around it. Got a good deal on it.
