CCH Report

Post by BigAl52 » Sun Aug 25, 2019 7:39 pm

Ok I dont have any pics but I do have some info from and indoor range shoot today. To hot to shoot outside so a good friend of mine and I went to the indoor range in Loveland,Colo.I took my Sig P938 and my CZ PO9. Love the CZ. 19 round magazines and has a great grip on it for larger hands. Bore axis is low like all the CZ pistols. I shot some of my reloads thru it and some Speer Blazer brass 124gr fmj. I bought this gun used from the range I went to today. It was like new and I got a great price on it. Having 19 round magazines is alot of fun. My buddie was watching me shoot it and was just amazed and how well it shoots. It really likes the 124 blazer ammo. My main reason for going was to do some ammo testing on the Sig P938. I bought 3 different kinds of ammo for self defense. Mine likes the Sig premium ammo the best 147gr. It also did well with the Speer Gold dot 115gr and the Blazer brass 124gr. While at the range they had a P365 for rent so I rented one to shoot it as I did have an interest in one. Im glad I was able to rent it. I shot it ok but I still like my P938 better. The 365 just sits high in my hand where the p938 doesnt. Plus that single action trigger on the p938 is just better. The P938 also shot the Hornandy Critical Defense 115gr well but it didnt like the self defense Hornady in 135gr. Im glad I was able to rent the P365 its a nice gun but it doesnt fit me very well.

Nice report, Al, even without pics....that's okay. Kind of reminds me of some range sessions I did when I had my Springfield Armory XD 4″ Full Size Model 9mm. It had two 16-round mags with it. Lots of shooting available. I tried some of the ammo you shot today, and found some good stuff there. Particularly liked the Speer Gold Dot 115gr round. My XD "liked" most ammo I fed it --- rarely, rarely any chambering or ejection issues.

Glad you had some range time. That's always a fun thing to do! :) Glad to read your post.
