Red dot scope on a Henry 30/30

Well, having trouble sighting in my rifle with open sites because of my bifocals, I think I’m gonna go to a red dot scope but I want some recommendations from you fellas that have mounted them , and what you have found to be a good mid range red dot scope. And what mount did you use?

Are you wanting an actual scope that has a red dot or just the red dot sight

Ive not used any red dot prism scopes and the ones that are out there have way to busy of reticle for my liking. There are a number of brands of red dot green dot sights ( which green is my preference) out there that will do the job. Just depends on how much you want to spend. Holosun is a great sight and they run 250 to 350.00. But there is some sights on Amazon one of which I have bought 3 of that are great sights for about 100.00. Ive been able to sit down on the bench and benchrest my gun and shoot great groups with just the dot. Much better than if I was to use the irons. I have no doubt that if I was hunting that out to 100 yards and maybe a few more that I could do the job with one. Welcome to the forum

They make it in red or green. Ive used both and like the green much better
