I got my parts order from Henry today and decided to mount my scope and a hammer extension. The EGW/Henry picatinny rail required drifting the rear sight out for clearance. That was an easy process with the "Wyoming Sight Drifter". I had a Ranger Point dovetail filler blank on hand but it was a loose fit and they recommend using red loctite to secure it. I'll leave it empty for now and get a Marbles blank instead.
Next was the EGW pic base. The screws and screw holes were cleaned and a little dab of Coleman gas on each to remove the oil film. I set the base in place and went to tighten the first screw.....

....bottomed out and base was still loose. All three were too long or holes in barrel were too shallow. Called customer service and politely explained and he knew all about the problem. They are sending a new mount with the correct length screws.
I was going to put the project on the back burner until the Henry package arrived but got to thinking....What would Bubba do?

So, out comes the Dremel. I removed About .025" from each one and checked each one out and they worked. Just for insurance I polished a little more from each screw and used a little blue loctite on them.
I mounted the Leupold 2X-7X VX Freedom in medium Warne rings and a GrovTec single sided hammer extension without any further issues.
