Me and couple of 5 shots got some sun today!
Yeah finally got caught up on my work around the house and made it to the range. Took my Ruger LCR 357 Mag and the S&W Model 69 44 mag along for the ride to see what I could do with them since it has been a while since I shot them. Love the little 5 shot LCR as you can just pick it up and put the rounds in a nice tight little group. Was 6 yds out and the 158 gr. MB bullets with 6.0 of Power Pistol in 357 Mag case get the job done! Took a few shots on the gong from 40 yds with several hits. Like this small revolver and one of my carry guns.
Next up was the Model 69 a very handy 5 shot 44 Mag in L frame size. Did a nice shot overlay of the previous LCR shots from 16 yds. shooting my Xtreme plated 240 gr. bullets with 9.5 gr. of BE-86 in 44 Mag brass. Hit the gong from 45 yds. 5 times...very nice 44 Mag shooter for trail use.
Other than the wind and heavy pollen it was great to be out there today! Also had great shootin' with my can of CRC Brake Clean spray taking out several wasp making a nest in my tractor shed. Got to watch out for those little sneakers!

Good shootin'
I want to get out tomorrow, a revolver day for me too.
Serious rain tonight, severe Tstorms, possible tornados, but I'll still shoot for a range day tomorrow, weather permitting. (See, see what I did there?)

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Nice shooting. If the rain holds off today, I'll get out to my little shooting area.
How do you like that 69 with magnums forty? I looked at one the same length as yours but passed on it.

Well when I bought it new some years ago it had to go right back due to problems with the action hanging up. Once that was corrected it is a very nicedaytime dave wrote: ↑Sun Mar 30, 2025 8:56 amNice shooting. If the rain holds off today, I'll get out to my little shooting area.

44 Mag shooter and with a very smooth, light and crisp action. I load for 44 Mag so my loads can be from heavy 44 Special to mid level 44 Mag for extended range shooting or for SD use. Another thing is it is much easier for carry over a full size N model Smith. Actually liked it better than the new Colt Anaconda I once had!

Hope those tornados miss you BM! We have same line of storms coming thru here Monday and it should help clean out the pollen in the air.BrokenolMarine wrote: ↑Sun Mar 30, 2025 1:10 amGood shootin'

Thanks for the feedback forty. I like my N frame .44 mags. I only carry them hunting and that's never too far for too long.
