Other than the SOG, I also handled a CRKT Woods Chogan T-Hawk today. Great-looking tomahawk head with an exceptionally beautiful 19" Tennessee hickory wood handle. I was really tempted in getting the hickory furniture. But it was too heavy (weight at 33-1/4 oz), and I'm pretty sure that sooner or later I'd have a broken wood handle.
A few stats on the SOG tomahawk, followed by some pics I took.
~~Blade length is 2-3/4"
~~OAL is 15-3/4"
~~Weighs 24 oz
~~Blade is 420 stainless steel
~~Handle is fiberglass-reinforced nylon
~~Nylon sheath for belt carry
~~Can use as a hammer with the flat head side checkering as guide
~~Regular axe for smaller wood chopping. Perfect for dead branch clean-up in my backyard.
Looking forward to throwing this addition to my other "things with an edge."
