With you Bubba! I have some HSM lead cast 180 gr on hand for potential black bear encounters up at our mountain cabin.
I know they would do the job. Not cheap factory ammo though!

just got back form a pig hunt and did have some luck. my big boy 357 tipped over a big pig . 50 yards good clean shot. now it is not a monster but you can not eat a big one too tough

Thank goodness we don't have any close by, (yet).
I have taken deer with a 357 before.

Yes, I am interested in what you are using for a load also. They looked at the link for the hunting lodge, and it looks very interesting.

I use a 180 grain wide flat nose lead cast bullet for my preferred 357 Magnum load and I'm very interested to see what you used, it really looks like it did the job.

That's what I have, a 180 fn cast over 9.4 grs of Blue dot.
I can hit a three inch gong at a 100 yds. all day long with my 24" barreled Rossi.
As long as I do my part.

Looks like that little pig has a lot of domestic hog in him/her. Ears fold forward, short snout and thin hair. Our hogs here in AR have long, bristled hair, longer snout and ears stand straight up... more European hog genetics. Congrats on the pig.
