I didn’t hear the furnace kick on once and it was set to 62. The motorhome we had before leaked heat quickly probable due to the greater interior cubic feet which included the driving area. Had some rain last evening and a short sprinkle this morning otherwise it’s a real pleasant day here. We’re heading back home to get the boat in a few and the next several days are expected to be sunny and 70’s. Some beach time for the dogs for sure.

The grid is very stable here. In the four plus years I’ve only lost power a few times and usually for under 30 minutes. This time it will be scheduled to be out for five hours. Can I call 911 because I cant make a cup of coffee.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2026 8:22 amFair, 45°F, Humidity 100%

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
The main reason we have a Generac is when we go south in the Winter we can rest easy that if a blizzard knocks out the electric lines the house will not freeze up. We had a neighbor whose house did freeze up and when the heat came back on all the burst pipes flooded the house for days before it was discovered. Major damage.

52 this morning and finally some blue skies for us. It’s been cloudy and on and off light rain for the last couple of days. High should see 70 later and that will feel nice. Continued nice weather going forward. Today we’ll launch the boat and find a beach for the dogs to romp on. Not swimming weather for us humans but they can do as they please.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
52' and sunny. Maybe 81' later today and 85' tomorrow.

I hire a house sitter when I’m gone for those very reasons.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2026 9:29 amThe main reason we have a Generac is when we go south in the Winter we can rest easy that if a blizzard knocks out the electric lines the house will not freeze up. 55 here at the lake when I got up a few hours ago and possible mid 70’s later. It got warm yesterday and we had to turn the A/C on for a while. No hook-ups so I had to run the genny. Campground was empty when we got here Monday but it’s probably 25% full now. Lots of fisherfolk’s both in camp and out on the lake. It must be Sturgeon season as several boats were anchored. Most of the trout and walleye fishing is done be trolling.
We spent some hours on the beach with the dogs who sure enjoy romping on the beach and in the water.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I keep going between wanting the a/c on then the boiler. When its overcast the house is cold and when the sun is out its hot. So far I have the a/c on and then not. I haven’t turned the boiler on yet.

65F upstairs and 66F downstairs. It’s comfortable enough although the floors are cold. I’m debating turning the heat on just to have warm toes.

Back home and it’s a brisk 46. Found out yesterday the location of my thermometer sending unit in camp was too sheltered. It read 55 and when I got into my truck it read 46. Thought the felt temp when walking the dogs early in the morning was colder than what I was reading.
Today we expect beautiful sunny skies and temps in the 70’s. My Washington State Cougars football game starts at noon so another waste of a beautiful afternoon,
The maiden voyage for the travel trailer went off without a hitch. No issues. This trip was a dry camp and next week we’re going to another place with hookups to test the rest of the systems. So far so good!
