We have Red Flag warnings here in Wisconsin too but nothing like the Spokane area. That four inches of rain in five days amounted to about a quarter inch.

our hot streak continues .... 83 (RealFeel 100) @ 9:45AM on Sunday, July 5th .... interesting comment in today's weather forecast -- "smoke from fireworks will continue to bring poor air quality through the day" -- don't see that one very often .... chance of rain today 25% which is the highest I've seen for a while .... things may pickup tomorrow -- "a heavy thunderstorm in the afternoon; thunderstorms can bring flash flooding and localized damaging wind gusts" .... no plans for anything that will take us away from home today

Holy cow, reading the humidity reports above makes me cringe. Here we expect humidity to bottom out today at 17% and rise to maybe 25% overnight.

52 now with a high of 89 expected. Maybe into the low 90’s tomorrow which will be the first 90 degree day this year. Getting windy tomorrow and Wednesday so the fire danger is back. Low humidity, high temps and winds make for extreme fire danger.

North of dave77’s location a big fire caused by some idiots shooting off fireworks from a moving truck. 10,000 acres with 100 structures destroyed so far. Structures include homes, shops, sheds, chicken coops, etc. All from a couple of idiots doing idiotic acts. This is known because the dumbasses shooting the fireworks were followed by someone else. They tried to get a plate number but failed because they stopped and tried to put the fire out.

Maybe a lot people realized how dry it is, not nearly as many fireworks going off on the 4th as usual.

There was a fire a couple of miles from my place on Sunday but they got it put out pretty quickly, saw a couple of water planes and helicopters headed that way, I was concerned there wouldn't be any available with the big fire near Chelan still going strong.

We still have a lot of the fire season to get through, we sometimes have fires that aren't completely out until we get late Fall rain and snow.

53 pleasant degrees now but a unpleasant high of 94 later. First 90 degree day this year and I hope it’s the last! Not likely. Today we have another Red Flag Warning for wildfire. Low humidity <20%, high temp up to 98 around the area and winds to 25mph. Today’s warning is more in central Washington and tomorrow more in my area here in eastern Washington.

I’m planning on finishing up some weed whacking early today before it gets hot. Then inside to keep cool.

Last evening our dogs while inside went berserk which is very unusual. Looked outside to see this mama and baby wandering by. They will give a bark or two to a deer but when they see a moose they really go nuts. :?:

while its not as hot as it has been recently, its still way toooooo hot .... 93 (RealFeel 104) @ 4:30PM on Tuesday July 7th .... it is supposed to level off at 94 before dropping back to an overnight low of 73 ....first up this morning a 60+ mile round trip drive for a specialized Physical Therapy for Maureen .... she's been having a bit of a tough time lately and these sessions really help .... our 25 year old Trailblazer is having a bit of a cooling system issue .... unsure as to the cause, guess it will take a trip to our local independent auto repair to figure it out
