52' and cloudy/sunny. Maybe 73' later. Looks like high 80's temps are behind us for a while. Next several days, highs in the 60's.
On moving. We've had thoughts of doing so on the back burner. More the past few days on the front burner. City sent out letters to property owners in our area asking if they would be interested in including their properties in UGB (urban growth boundary) expansion. Expansion benefits property owns that want to develop their land into subdivisions, but for those of us who want to stay put, inclusion adds significantly to our property taxes.

47 due to a cold front moving in. Windy today with temps in the upper 60’s. Some areas even have a frost warning this weekend but not my place. Cool all weekend with maybe some rain next Tuesday. We’re about 2 inches short of average year to date.
Met with the buyers of the property yesterday and they signed a purchase agreement. Probably 4-6 weeks to close. My son’s girlfriend wants to do some shooting so this will give us a chance to take her up there and knock some bowling pins over.

Right on schedule, first week in June and the Alligator Snapping Turtles are in my yard laying eggs.
Tonight the racoons will dig them up and have a feast. Happens every year.
I only hope they don't get into the swimming pool again.
I’m beginning to see them on the roads.

The expected thunderstorms arrived last night but thankfully we didn’t get any hail or big winds. Other than several power outages I haven’t heard of any damage or wildfires.
Yeah, we had a good show as well. Came up from your neck of the woods. Lost power for 48 hours. A record for my lifetime.

73 @ 10PM on Fri June 5th .... the highest temp I saw earlier today was 96 and it was a very humid 96 .... they say our low tonight will be 61 .... they still say our best chance of precipitation will be next Monday .... with the heat and humidity, packing our truck and camper for a weekend outing with our camping club had a way of zapping our energy .... nonetheless, we are once again setup in Raleigh Oaks RV Park .... looking forward to testing our rig for our drive from NC to SD in a couple of weeks

You sold your place up near the border?
Simplifying things is never a bad idea. You’ve still got ways to get away and enjoy the area with the RV and boat, right? Less can be more.

We went out to eat last evening with friends to a place of their choosing.
We all agreed, the food was not good. Oh well, they were paying.
Nice day today. We're going to install a new solar blanket on the pool.

Yes, the place up near Northport. And again yes, as you know so well living here in the Pacific Northwest there’s no shortage of places to get away to and enjoy life. We found we were spending the bulk of our time near Kettle Falls to access Lake Roosevelt. We tried staying on the property and trailering the boat to the lake each day but it was too far to be reasonable.
I’m typing this with a blinding sun in my eyes. (Too lazy to get up and close the blinds

) it’s currently 50 and heading only into the 60’s today. Same again tomorrow. Maybe some measurable rain on Tuesday.

Brrrr 41 this morning. The cold front is here. Not sure what the high will be but probably only in the 60’s. Cool again tomorrow and then (hopefully) some rain on Tuesday. Some areas had frost last night but not here thankfully. (Not that I have a garden

)
Heading east over a low pass called The Blanchard Hump to play golf in Idaho today. I believe Sir Henry once lived in the Blanchard area. It will be several degrees cooler due to elevation.

40F and windy. Had 4” of rain last week. More coming this week. Changed from the wedge tent to a more primitive camp this year.
Will be interesting in the winter…

Had coffee almost 2 hours ago, time to put on some action.
