84 (RealFeel 100) @ noon on Thurs May 21st .... forecasted high 90 followed by an overnight low of 65 .... only a few clouds right now but they say we have a good chance of getting some rain today; as well as, on the next two day .... any and all rain that falls will be most welcome .... first up this morning was to haul trash and to stop by our favorite roadside farmer's market to pick up a couple of baskets of strawberries .... a fresh strawberry pie is most certainly on the way

57 F in Ventura CA coast. It's supposed to be in the high 60s. It remains pleasantly cool during the day.
Small cup of coffee, been up since 3 am. Trying to get another hour of sleep before the day starts. :|

Ted, I’m right down the coast from you in the Malibu area. Conditions are the same here as you reported. Every time I visit here I’m cold. That’s from a north guy who experiences winter yearly. Just the humidity I guess.

Having a great visit with the kids/grandkids. Our granddaughter is very involved with dance and we got to attend a performance last night at her school. She’s on the advanced team and did a solo that was wonderful. Felt like I was watching a professional performance on tv.

The view really sucks….

Another morning here on the Malibu coast. A heavy marine layer now but it’s expected to burn off later and be sunny. Not sure what the temp is but I’m sure it’s in the 60’s. A cool down for the holiday weekend that I’m sure will disappoint the locals. We visited the Santa Monica Pier yesterday and it was a very nice day, sunny and probably in the 70’s.

We’ve had the house to ourselves for the last three days but today the family is coming out for the weekend. Plus our granddaughter has three friends coming out. It’s going to be packed as there also are two dogs. Should be a fun time but much more chaotic than we are used to.

60 F in Ventura by the CA coast. Still foggy, which is ok, it keeps us cool.
It's breakfast time.

67 @ 10AM on Sunday, May 24th under a high cloud cover .... forecasted high 80 very humid degrees with thunderstorms likely but right now the weather radar is clear .... our morning has already taken an unexpected turn .... after breakfast we started getting ready for church and in a matter of moments Maureen was hit by some sort of bug .... she's sleeping, I'm watching the lead-up to the Indy 500 .... looking forward to seeing the race's Grand Marshal Caitlin Clark in the pre race show

Keep a close eye on Maureen. Carol just spent 5 days in the hospital from what started out seeming like just a bug. Turned into terrible head/chest congestion and near Pneumonia. She was on IV's and oxygen. I'm still worried, especially after hearing about the cause of Kyle Busch's demise. She's still not back to normal and on oxygen at home.
Hope Maureen feels better soon. 🤞
BTW, there is a lot of norovirus going around in our area right now which affects the other end.
