We were finally able to rent a golf cart for the rest of our time here. It seems they are scarce.
Not much going on today as we're still settling in. We have the guy coming today to hook us up
to the cable the campground provides. Our Starlink is working great but this will give us another
way to use the internet and what I really want are the local TV Channels for the news of the area.

30 and frosty this morning. I have a nice fire going in the stove. Rain expected overnight but ending in the morning so tomorrow might be a nice day. Very windy on Sunday and Monday but dry. Colder next week with the possibility of snow but no big accumulations expected here in the valleys. The mountains will hopefully get hammered.

Yesterday I cleaned up and organized my wood shed. Moved the last of my firewood to the patio so only a few more weeks of fires left. Glad I bought those presto logs in December, that really helped stretch my limited supply of firewood this year. Today I plan on starting to split next seasons firewood. I had a neighbor give me nine large pine trees they had removed to put a prickle ball court. That should last a couple of years plus I have a few dead trees on my place that I’ll cut down soon.

The woodshed all ready for splitting.

What I have cut up into rounds ready to split. I have enough logs to cut to replace all in this picture. I’ll do that as soon as this supply gets moved so it can start drying out.

Tornado(s) yesterday afternoon. Verified reports of one touching down less than 10 miles east of my house and again 20 miles east. Significant damage and casualties. Seems the system passed overhead, Was pretty dark but no sirens, no warnings were made anywhere. Conflicting reports of one just north of me and south in town with downed trees but I can't verify that. It's almost Spring!!

Pretty scary Ernie.

Here it’s a benign 44 and overcast. The overnight rain went elsewhere. High probably around 50 depending on if we see the sun today. Windy later and again tomorrow. A cool down this week but we sure have enjoyed some nice days recently.

Got started on splitting next seasons firewood. Glad I was able to get an early start this year. This wood is very wet and extra drying time will help. These were green live trees cut down late last summer. I cut it into rounds last fall but they store outdoors with a limited cover.
