Mark IV ruger?

I have a MK IV in the 22/45 version. I found the 22/45 was a little bit less expensive than the regular MK IV. It has the same grip angle as a 1911. But it has the target rear sight and bull barrel I wanted so I bought it. Here’s some pics showing the pistol, the Ruger with a 1911 and the target where I did my ammo test. Mine liked the CCI Mini mag HP. It’s a nice handling pistol that shoots great.

My neighbor has the same pistol but in the lightweight version with the holes in the barrel shroud. I don’t care for the look of it but hey, we all like our own kids better.

I have one like Hatch, except the grips aren't removable.
The grandson loves shooting it.

I got a 75th anniversary model and I like it a lot. This is a target version with a 6.88 inch barrel. I really appreciate the one button takedown to clean. Had a little problem with the magazines not feeding smoothly causing failure to feed but my LGS swapped them out for a set that works better so I did not have to work on them or send them back.

I don't think you can go wrong with whatever Ruger .22 you get.
They're fairly common at Bullseye matches, so they're accurate, and there is a HUGE aftermarket that will help you customize it in ways you probably never even dreamed of.

I've thought seriously of buying the heavy barreled target model MK IV, but I have a number of accurate 22s in the safe already, including an original Ruger MK1.

I've got a MKI 6 7/8" target model that I bought right after getting home from the Army. Couldn't begin to guess at an accurate round count but it's many many thousands. One of those most accurate pistols I've ever owned. The only negative is that it's a pain to reassemble after cleaning. The MKIV solves that issue and one of the 22/45"s might find it's way here one of these days.

For the guns other than the MKIV, you might consider this option... I saw a video on youtube and looked into the piece. I think it was about $20 plus a minor shipping charge.

You drop 'er in after ALMOST removing the pin....

Then put everything back together. With that support in place, the strut can't go where it doesn't belong.
