Happy Winter Solstice all, summer’s coming! :D

Not too summer like here with a temp of 28. Maybe some rain/snow later. Rainy and or snowy most of the week but nothing like the rain and wind we have experienced for the last couple of weeks. Looks to be heading to a more normal weather pattern.

Had a busy day yesterday assembling furniture. Several weeks ago we ordered new recliners and a week ago we ordered a temporary dining table and chairs. Of course everything arrived at the same time. The chairs were from a dealer in Coeur d’alene Idaho and I saved the cost of delivery by picking them up myself. That caused me to have to do the simple assembly. The table and chairs were from Amazon and required more extensive assembly. It will be nice to not have to use the rickety card table for meals anymore. Whenever my wife makes up her mind on the permanent dining table this one will move to the patio.

our morning started out pretty much as planned .... up at 5:45, pulled out of the driveway on our way west to Asheville at 6:30 .... amazingly light traffic .... just under an hour later, almost to Durham, I was hit with an intestinal flareup that forced us to turn around and came back home ..... whatever caused it seems to be backing off but no way have any interest in spending 8+ hours on the road .... the trip to Asheville will have to wait until after Christmas .... 51 at 10:30 AM under a clear sky .... 59 supposed to be today's high with it going to drop back to 27 tonight ..... no clue as to what, if anything, we will do for the rest of today

38 at 9:40AM headed toward today's projected high of 52 .... they say it will fall to 30 overnight .... no rain mentioned for the next 10 days .... our mobile RV repair guy is due to come by around noon to work on our camper's propane furnace for the 4th time .... I have no problem with his efforts so far, rather I feel he's gotten some defective part(s) .... once he takes care of the water heater we will be ready to move our camper (4 miles) and set it up at our son's home where our family gathers for Christmas
