My backyard is slowly coming together.

I’ve dug and cemented in 7 of the 20 head/foot boards. Some in the above picture are just sitting in the holes and haven’t been leveled.

I found this old bike and will be using it as lawn art. I want to get a dozen or so of them to line my driveway.

Cool classic stuff.

Nice landscaping idea, although according to American Pickers some old bikes can be quite valuable.

That is true however this Huffy is not one of them. It is in good enough shape to rebuild. It just needs tires, fenders and a new seat. Everything else is in good enough condition to just clean and polish.

I paid $20 for it. If I threw $100 into it I would have a $120 bike.

I like the way the headboards step down following the terrain. Looks great!

I ran out of cement and will have to grab some more bags to finish it. Everything is on the level or close enough for government work.

The flower pots really complete it. The colors are great.

Sorry to see that T-Post driver and post hole digger, two tools that are no fun for sure.

Not my backyard but my driveway. This gravel will reduce the amount of dirt I track into the house. I also widened it so I can turn around without driving on the grass. This and the backyard has been a time consuming and physically hard job and I’m glad it’s 99% complete. All that is left is for me to tidy up the lower edge.

What's the deal with that bent over tree behind the campground?

Thanks. I’ve had several people turn around in it. No one liked backing up 300 yards.

It was loaded with snow last winter.

This picnic table was delivered this afternoon. It weights almost 300 pounds. At least it won’t get blown over.

Looks like everything has pretty well dried out from your downpour. Did your new turn-around handle it OK?

Yes it drained as planned. I had several downpours while I was grading it so I could see the low spots and fill them in. One downpour was around four to six inches. When the picnic table was delivered it came in a Class B semi and while he couldn’t turn around he didn’t sink in.
