Cheek Rest for Scope
Using a scope on the H010 makes a proper cheek weld impossible. For me, I hate hovering my chin besides the stock. The cheek weld is critical for consistency. That being said, I'm making my own out of kydex. I'll post pics when this project is done.

our Model Number H010CC is fitted with a 3 X 9 Nikon .... ours seems to fit me well .... don't see a need for a cheek rest but am looking forward to seeing what you come up with

I'm looking at the website, and it looks to me like the brass version has the aggressive angle on the comb of the Original and GoldenBoy, while the steel H010 has a more traditional comb.

JEBar, you have the steel which looks real sweet with that scope.
bradf, do you have the brass version ? If so, you may have a little harder time with the cheek weld. Pics?

Re: Cheek Rest for Scope
ours is pretty much a BBS that has a Color Case Hardened finish .... as such it has a pistol grip stock with a recoil pad .... the Golden Boy has a straight stock with a brass butt plate .... I've been told that all else being equal the straight stock will usually have a harder kick .... no doubt the metal butt plate will pass on a harder kick than the recoil pad .... here is a link to a thread with Range Reports to date for our 45-70 ===> http://henryrifleforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=404 .... sure hope to be able to be able to add to it within the next few weeksHenry88 wrote:JEBar, you have the steel which looks real sweet with that scope.

I've never seen a Cheek-EEZ recoil pad ===> https://kickeezproducts.com/recoil-pads/cheek-eez/ .... it appears to be a permanent modification .... don't know if it would work for you or not
