2020 Trip To South Dakota

Glad you made it home Jim. We are headed out again about the 23rd of Sept for are final voyage until we head south in Dec.

with our truck's tag expiring at the end of this month, first thing this morning I took her in for her annual state safety inspection .... she passed with flying colors .... our next outing is scheduled to be October 11- 29 at Thousand Trails Chesapeake Campground

Don't know what you paid, but the grower here on Burnsville sells them for $35.00 for a half bushel or $1.89 Lb.

we paid $53 a bushel at Coates Produce in the first building .... just got through stringing and snapping both bushels .... about half have been canned, the rest tomorrow

if you pass near the Little Big Horn on the way, its well worth a stop .... be sure to listen to the Ranger's presentation prior to going out on the battlefield .... its a remarkable area

well, we are home and things are SLOWLY returning to normal .... yesterday I had our truck safety inspected, today my wife bought the 2021 sticker .... today I had to do some running around to find a mower deck belt .... camper roof repair booked for next week .... DISH tech due this afternoon .... home security control updated .... and so on, and so on, and so on .... next project is to start unloading the truck and camper

Yes, our second Montana stop is the Little Big Horn, staying near Garyowen MT. Thanks for the tip on the Ranger Presentation, we’ll do that for sure.

we've seen the Ranger who did our presentation on the History Channel ..... they do an excellent job of setting the scene in a way that makes seeing the area much more meaningful

our morning began with driving from our campground to the Farmer's Market in Asheville where we picked up 2 bushels of white half runner green beans .... they are old time string and snap beans that my father raised and, for me, they are the only green bean I really enjoy

because they require both stringing and snapping, they do require a bit more effort to get ready to cook ... as noted, they are the beans my father raised in his garden .... so, they are the green beans I was raised on and have the taste I prefer
