Thanks NCG. It was fun to put this one together. I also have another barrel for it. Best shooting 22 I have ever owned

Took my Heritage Arms 22LR/22Mag revolver "Black Jack" my version of a Bar Keep and the Henry pumper out for some plinking yesterday and had some interesting results with the Black Jack key holing with 22 LR...will post more in the Other Handgun Forum about that. Have two 22 LR cylinders and the 22 Mag cylinder so I carry a pair loaded with 5 and just swap out for a quicker reload. You can later knock out the brass with the little dice rod in the grip.
Was some fun with my stand up outlaw targets that would flip over when hit! Now to figure out that oddity of the LR key holes.

:D Thanks you on the behalf of all Virginia residents for keeping those outlaws at bay. Looks like a rough bunch but the Barkeep did it’s duty!

I don't think those bad guys care one way or the other about whether they're getting hit with rounds that keyhole or not. :)

A tumble hit might make the steel ring louder!

I plinked some today on the bullet trap I hung from the swing frame. I shot the SGC using Mini-Mags and some Quiets.

At 35 yards offhand I hit every time. What I noticed was the HV disintegrated in a puff of lead and the slower Quiets ricocheted back into the catch. I’m thinking flat plates would be good to hang if I only shot HV and saved the Quiets and SV for the traps.

I've noticed that Quiets do tend to ricochet a bit more and others have reported it, too. Probably the low velocity. I recently picked up some Quiet Segmented and may try those. With the segmented, the bullet is supposed to break up on contact, so that may reduce the ricochet tendency.

I haven’t been plinking much although have more than I’ve posted. Today the light was good enough for me to see the traps so I brought the Henry SGC out.

I bought some AR500 steel gongs to hang but they are still on the gun chest.

They were made for .223/5.56 at 100 yards. I’m thinking .22LR at HV will spatter at 50 yards and SV will bounce back.
