Only place I found 2 was on Gun Broker but all the large shops have none. Not that I'm looking for one but just curious.

LGSS here has plenty. S&W, Ruger, Colt 357 mostly but also some 22lr and 44 but no single action.

Well I should say the Henry revolvers. My LGS also has a wide selection of the other brand revolvers.

I think that single action revolvers may be a bit of a specialty market and any dealer that doesn't cater to the CASS crowd may have one on the shelf for a long time. I have a Colt SAA. 45 and a Ruger Blackhawk .45 conv with two cyliders. If I had to take one revolver It would be neither but a double action with a swingout cylinder like a GP 100 or my Trooper or even my Redhawk.

I haven't seen any in my travels forty.

My local gun store had a few the other day but not anything I was interested in. I did pick up a nice looking (well, photo anyway) Ruger Speed Six off GB. I'll post a pic after I pick it up from my FFL. I've always wanted one and soon I will. (Edit: Here's one of the GB pics.) Jake

1) for as ugly as the henry revolvers are they can keep them hidden
2) Nice Ruger, I have a Security 6 that has over 5k rounds thru it, both .38 and .357. Still solid and accurate, great gun

Plus one on the Ruger. I have a couple of Security Sixes, one to shoot, but the other is a Liberty gun, as new with box and papers. That one I don't shoot. Much prefer the handling of the Six series DAs to the later, clunkier GP-100s.

My local gun store has a Smith and Wesson 686 that's used for 750.00 I would buy that long before I would drop 800 for this ugly gun.

Wonder how many and where they have sold any? IF they are making them they have to be holed up someplace!

I'd like to try the trigger on one. That will tell me a lot about what I want to know about them.

I wouldn't mind trying one. Pretty isn't always the most important thing. The A10 isn't a pretty Aircraft in my mind... after all, it's nickname is the Warthog... but it's beautiful when it rolls in on target. LOL. My PPC revolvers aren't exactly beautiful, but those ragged x/10 rings groups are gorgeous.

Wow is the barrel that big in diameter?

Yup, PPC revolvers are shot rapid fire at 7 and 15 yards. They are also shot slow fire at 25 and 50 yards, standing, sitting, and prone. Big heavy barrels make them very stable and also really fast back on target in rapid fire. (2 shots in 20 seconds including the speed load.) Most of the 12 round groups at 7 yards are one ragged hole.

A full state level match is 120 rounds with the PPC revolver, then again with a semi auto. Of course there are the side matches for Service Auto, Service Revolver and Snubby. (Those courses are shorter, less rounds.)

When I was a lot younger I had a few LEO friends that did that type of competition. They would buy a used model 10 S&W and then let a gunsmith put on the heavy barrel, Bomar rib and do an action job. Those guys would travel all over the state (Fl.) to compete. In those days all of them carried .38 revolvers on duty. My how times have changed.
