Yes they offer it in the low wall. The hi wall is only 45-70 and up from Cimarron.

Yeah, just wasn't sure at what caliber and above justified the High Wall.

The perfect way to make sure you have the range to yourself.

I am waiting on my Cimarron guy to get back to me. Usually about a month to get his orders once he places them to Cimarron in Texas. Hope they have one in stock. He says they carry a pretty good inventory. Should be a great rifle to shoot. Of course I'll need a nice buckskin cover for it...

The 45 Colt is a perfect choice for a Low Wall 1885. Way more than strong enough.

I have an 1885 Low-Wall that started life as a .22short.
Someone long, long ago rebarreled it with a Winchester model 52 barrel, so now it shoots .22lr.
They did a great job and it is a beautiful gun.
It is just plain a joy to shoot.
