Stopped by my LGS and man they had ammo stacked floor to ceiling and what caught my eye was 500 round boxes of Winchester 230 gr. bulk ammo for $200 bucks. I am going to run out of my favorite 230 gr. X-Treme plated bullets and now with shipping and tax we are right at $100 bucks for 500. Then 500 of my primers that sell now for $ 100 per thousand with tax which would put reloading at 150 but then add replacement cost of powder plus time depriming and cleaning brass. 200 bucks for 500 rounds not too bad today!

I agree, .40 cents a round for new factory ammo isn't bad at all.
Then you'll have some new once fired brass.
And we know it's not going to be that price forever.

I have not Forty. I just linked another place. These guys are off ammoseek. If they take credit cards and the reviews are good which they are on these two I don’t worry too much about it. I’ve never had a bad order. The last one I linked has over 200 5 star reviews

Oh you might get lucky to some of those places dont charge tax.

Raven rock had a great deal on sig and jageman primed brass. I picked up 1k of the sig. They also had a decent price on dead nuts 45 cal jhp

Bought the 500 rd box of 45 ACP today at my local shop and picked several random rounds and measured them for COL and taper crimp. All in spec. and look good. Going to the range tomorrow to cut grass and will shoot a few. When I can find 45 ACP for a decent price compared to reloading I will buy it to save loading materials for all my 44 cals and 45 Colt as far as rounds using large primers. However I do need to load more 45 ACP with the 230 gr. XTP bullets.
