Good point, NCG. If the AR platforms create enough demand, the round may become popular enough to establish itself. Then, we might see the other applications, like lever actions and single shots take it up (Winchester has the bolt action covered ) . It seems like Winchester came out with a new rimfire a couple of years ago. I wonder what happened to it.

The 17 Winchester Super Mag, I'm still shooting it.
A beefed up and necked down 25 caliber nailgun blank, gummy tipped 25gr at 2550fps, 20gr as 3000fps and 17gr lead free rd at 3300 fps. It has a small but dedicated following.
