The majority of .44 Magnum/ .44 Special ammo I've run across is online. Very little to none in my major metro area on the shelves locally.

Sure glad I roll mine, myself.
I'm still using primers I bought years ago, .03-.045 cents each.
if I use the MB 240's, can't remember exactly but no more than .15 cents.
And if I cast some as I do have a couple molds, then we're talking pennies a piece.
Now if I grab some of the xtp's or another jacketed bullet then we're talking .30+ cents a pice.
If I use the unique which I just opened the last Big jug I picked up back in '18.
That was a whopping $20 a lb. :o ;) So literally just a few cents a round.

So I'm way under the current jacket up prices of the day.
But even if buying at today's prices.
$50 per lb of powder
$100 per thousand primers
$45-50 for a 100 bullets
And you saved your brass, you'd could still under .75 a round.
Like I say, I'm sure glad I got started way back when I did.

Also if you can cast your own bullets that is another expense in making ammo that you don't have to deal with. I have made it a policy to have at least one bullet mould for each caliber that I load including my .375 Marlin.
