Gathering material for creek bridge project.....

Post by fortyshooter » Sat Apr 24, 2021 9:47 am

Well time to get started on getting the $$ lumber$$ together for this 12 ft. foot bridge. Checked a local building supply that sells better quality
treated boards and 3 2x10x12 will run me right at $100 bucks at 31 per board! Then will need some 2x6 to cut for the tread boards at 4 ft. per tread.
Can only imagine what a small 10x10 deck would cost!!
Oh well that's the way it is.

Yep. Dang lumber is up near 300% since this time last year.
Can't wait to see the new bridge.

I have a bridge and a tool shed to build. I might wait a year for prices to go down.

The bridge is a must do. Just to cool not to do it! Now this leads to another project....getting me a reliable lawn tractor together to use as a trailer tow to get the materials down the trail close to the creek. My Kubota tractor to large for that.
