I have a brand new BB H006MR. The Feeding Tube is almost impossible to turn the nob and remove. 4 friends have tried it an only one could do it by placing the but on the ground holding the barrel and pushing and twisting. I have never had any issues with the GB .22 or with a previous BB .357. Has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks John

My H006M had a tight knob to turn as well, and I wondered why. But all I did was battle through it.
Now with my SGC it almost "falls out." I rather have it tight.

Your issue sounds like a call to Henry might be a good thing to do. They'll have the answer and a good fix to the problem..

Possibly the rubber o-ring is slightly out of standard. Check with a hardware or auto supply store to find one that might be a little thinner.

I agree. Mine is also tight, but easy to open and close. Henry CS will help.

I love rifles with a tube feed with a loading gate in receiver . I hate all tube feed rifles with removable fill tubes . I prefer rifles with clips like the M-1 Garand over magazine feed .

Have you determined what is causing the problem...??? Is the outer magazine tube dented anywhere...??? Look on the outside of the outer magazine tube for any dents. Open the bolt group and shine a flash light inside of the receiver. You'll have to do this once the brass inner magazine rod/tube has been gotten out. Inspect the brass inner magazine rod/tube and see if it's bent. Roll it on a flat surface with the knurled end hanging off the edge so that you can see if the brass inner magazine rod/tube is bent. Also, check the end of the brass inner magazine rod/tube to see if it's been dropped and dented. Once you can get the brass inner magazine rod/tube coming out, is it tight the whole way out...??? If so, the issue is the brass inner magazine rod/tube. Henry will send you one if this is the problem. If not, something is wrong with your outer magazine tube. If this is the problem, you will have to call Henry and they will mail a return shipping label. You'll box it up and send it to them (UPS). Turn around time is about two weeks. Hopefully some of my questions will field a positive outcome for you.

I've had a Marlin 39A since 1969 and just sold it 2 yrs ago and shot over 50,000 rds in it and was my 22 hunting gun . I hate the tube fill system but loved the gun . I think a Henry 22 lever with 10/22 mag system would be the perfect setup . When hunting loading or topping off tube in the field is a pain and a good way to bend the tube . This is my opinion

Did the inspection thing all seems ok. Called Henry and they sent me a new inner mag tube. It works bit better but is still very much on the hard side. Got a couple of "o" in different thicknesses and will try that. Thanks for all the advice

just curious .... when you slide the inner tube into the outer housing, is it tight immediately or does it reach a point along the way and you suddenly notice that the pressure needed to move it is greater .... if the latter, you may have a defect in the outer tube that can't be seen from the outside .. .. the fact that a second inner tube doesn't work much better makes me think there is a good chance that the problem is with the outer tube

Take the o-ring off the inner magazine rod and see if it's still hard to install. That will tell you if a o-ring is causing the problem.

My BB45C tube is snug but manageable. I never owned another rifle so whatever it does seems normal to me....

Called Henry and they sent me a new tube. A bit better. Also found a "thinner" O ring and 100% better. All well now

just wondering .... have you tried the thinner O-ring on the original tube ?

My Big Boy 45 inner tube was very hard to turn when I got it. It was a few thousandths too long. All I needed to do was stick a dowel rod into the tube to hold the follower back out of the way while I filed the excess length off.

I just took a little at a time until the retaining pin turned into the notch without any outside interference.
