BBSM41

I finally sprung my new .41 from debtor's prison. It took me a couple months to pull it out of layaway. I don't usually use the payment method, but I didn't want to chance it would be gone when I found the spare cash. You just don't see .41 anything all that often, and I've been looking for a .41 lever a lot of years.

Fit and finish are exceptional. The action is amazingly smooth; I wonder what it will be like in a few hundred rounds.

It feeds 215g SWC (Starline cases, 6.5 gr Trail Boss Powder, Winchester Primer, .410 Meister Bullet) like it was made for them. My quest for a source of LRNFP was totally unwarranted; slow, fast ... it doesn't matter; they feed and eject flawlessly.

I pulled a bore snake through it and commenced to shooting. The first ten rounds hit a tin can at 50 yards without missing.

50 round later, there was no visible lead in the barrel.

I thought I'd miss the loading gate, but I actually found it refreshingly easy to load.

Very Nice Rifle

Congrats. I have not tried lead in mine yet. I have not slugged my barrel yet so wonder what size bullet you are using. I really do not like slugging a barrel as I am always afraid of getting it stuck.
I have .411 swc bb at 215 gr and .410 swc gc at 230 gr on hand for my revolvers.

It's not are revolver so slug is not as important as the chamber will take .410 or larger bullet in brass . It's a ramp feed gun and sometime a roll crimp would allow to feed easy with heavy crimp without a lot of hicups and a taper crimp could works better and smoother most of the time . I love the 41 mag and good luck with it .

I didn't slug. But it seems very happy with the Meister 215 gr .410 SWC
