Which pistol caliber side gate coming first?

I'm hoping due to popularity that it would be .357 Magnum and make mine in the CCH with 16.5 inch barrel!
Going to hold out on a .357/38 Special lever rifle purchase until Henry makes them in side gate.

until Henry makes them in side gate.
Let's hope this is a 'when' and not an 'if' ! - and 'if' they are planning on doing so are just waiting on the New Year to announce it.

the last time I checked, more of their lines include 44 Mag than any other caliber .... my bet is, when it comes, they will not offer a single caliber .... I wouldn't be surprised to see both 44 & 357 come out at the same time

I am probably in the minority here, but, I've had too many sore thumbs and broken and chipped nails to want another rifle with a side loading gate. Nah, I'll stick with the tube mags here!

I've never owned a side-gate lever, having been gifted a tube-fed 22LR as a young lad (many, MANY Christmases ago!) and sold on the rationale behind Henry's original loading system. Sort of a "not broken, why fix it?" scenario for me. And, aesthetically, another hole in the side of the receiver sort of "clutters" the clean look that I've come to like in all my Henrys, regardless of finish (Brass, CCH or Blued Steel).

Different strokes, but never say "Never," I guess!

I like both but I can understand the sore thumb and the clean look. I mention this before as I like the option of the tube feed and the sidegate together. Its nice to be able to dump out the bullets when in a hunting situation vs cycling the action to unload it. That being said Im in no way bashing the Marlin and Winchesters with there sidegates. I happen to own both and like them. I just also like the new option Henry has come up with.

I'm with Al on this one, like both options and would buy a 357 with the side gate and tube feed. Been waiting on a 357 for this reason.
