enjoyed both videos .... what distance were you shooting ? .... have you considered mounting a scope on your Henry ? .... how do you feel about stabilizing the stock with something like sandbags ?

JEBar, I was shooting at 25 yards in this video. I don't think I will put a scope on this Henry, I have a scope on my BB Steel Henry and my Golden Boy. I have shot both ways, with and without a support on the Butt. The support adds some accuracy, but at the cost of a little more time to set it steady on the target.

Really like the way you split the screens, would love to know more.

In the 2nd video, Chuck Heston's "Planet of the Apes" gun shot real well too

It worked for him in the movie too, as I remember.

Would love to know more about what app you used, and how you did that split screen though..............

really appreciate the response .... once again, good shooting, enjoyed the video .... last Christmas one of our sons gave me a rest similar to the one shown in your video .... I've come to really enjoy using it ... I do use sandbags under the stock

Fresh air and the smell of gunsmoke. Looks like a very nice range, there are very few places in my neck of the woods to shoot outdoors. Thanks for letting me enjoy your range by proxy.

Our former Henry Big Boy in 357Magnum was a SWEET rifle and a tack driver using factory ammo - leftover from my former stash and all gone now, reloaded ammo and 'cast bullets' too. My husband has reloaded for over 40 years now. He has cast bullets for some time but not recently.

We used various loads in 357Magnum, 38Special and 38 Special Plus P too.

We would still be shooting that sweet rifle if we had not decided to consolidate many of our calibers including 357Magnum and downsize our firearms.

One man who bought a lot of our firearm stuff wanted to buy our Big Boy but it sold quickly before he made a firm decision. He shot that rifle and other firearms that we owned including other Henry rifles. He wanted another sweet Henry rifle but that one sold quickly BEFORE he made a firm decision too.

Me too.

Sir, I use my Mac Laptop with the iMovie app for all my videos. It does split screen as well as picture in picture.

I just had my first session with the Steel .357. Sweet shooter. I made some adjustments to the factory sights by reversing the blade to get an all black picture. The diamond was a tiny bit off center and it was a distraction. I moved to the second step on the ladder and that got my elevation right at 25 yards with both SWC 158 gr and 140 gr xtp. All reloads. It liked some loads and didn't like others. The loads that weren't working onpaper did great on steel gongs at 50 yards. I want the iron sights to be right on and found a jacketed load it likes and a lead load. That's what I'm loading up for the next outing. When I did my part it was shooting 3" and smaller groups at the end of the a 200 rd. session. I had the barrel rested and the butt shouldered. I may have to sell a couple handguns to buy a couple more Henry's because they might just become my new addiction. Thanks for the video!

Totally understand and agree that the Steel .357 is a "Sweet shooter." I have shot that rifle, and also the Brass Big Boy .357.
And sounds like a good idea to sell some handguns "to buy a couple more Henrys." Good way to go!
BTW, everyone would like to see some photos of your Henry, too.
