I just got a free replacement inner mag tube for my BBS Carbine delivered by UPS today. The fine folks at Henry RA were kind enough to send it to me very quickly. Hopefully this will solve the issue of the last round nose diving and hanging up. I plan on taking it to the range on Saturday. I noticed this tube has a red polymer follower instead of the orange painted metal one on my original one. Also there is less resistance when pushing it into the tube. I’ll follow up with a range report and let you guys know how it worked.

deano', I also had to get a re-placement tube. Mine would not un-latch or latch[close] properly. Very tough to do. Henry sent me a new one in 2-3 days. Works perfectly. Hope you have the same result.

Interesting, and good to see that they're tweaking some design/material specs as time goes on. "Continuous improvement" is the goal, right?

Kind of reminds my of the tip in my Marlin. Does the spring feel weaker? You stated that it goes in easier.

The spring feels about the same. It’s just smoother. The metal one feels like it’s scraping the inside of the tube.

Actually, this new one is MUCH harder to latch than the old one. But so is the one on my BBB 357.

Yeah, I even tried different O-rings and that didn't do anything. Called Henry and presto! Here fast and it works. Looking at the two, I can not see any difference, but, new one works. Maybe your new one will "ease in" with use.

I put a drop of CLP on it and that helped a little.

I went to the range this morning and only had time to fire 29 rounds through the BBSC 357. The new mag tube worked like a champ and seems to have solved the problem. I cycled five rounds through it without firing before actually taking some shots. Then I ran 3ea 8 round loads and one 5 round load through the rifle. No hang ups or problems. Hopefully the problem is solved. I love this rifle more everytime I shoot it. I am saving my money for some new sights now.

Got some good groupings there. Glad to read that the new tube has likely fixed things.

Does it feel smooth all the way going in? I had the same problem with a new H010. New inner tube didn’t help. I figured out that it was the outer tube—deformed apparently at factory test fire.

Yes. I think it’s hard to lock closed because the locking stud in the tube is a tiny bit closer to the end cap. However, it’s getting easier to close the more I use it. A drop of CLP helped a bit, too.
