Hi all. Newbie here with one of possibly many Q's to come. Just purchased a Big Boy .44 Mag.(actually get it next Monday thanks to Calif. laws) after having sad experience with a Rossi M92. Question is, will this rifle function with semi-wadcutters? I bought this rifle to take the load off my S/W mod 29. I've been reloading for eons and have a LOT of .44 mag loaded up with swc's, lrnfp's and jhp's.
Thanks, Randy

I can't tell you about the 4 mag, but my Big Boy Steel in 357 feeds SWCs just fine.

we've run a variety of reloads through our Henry 44 and so far they've all cycled cleanly ... we've run well over 250 semi wadcutters through it in the last week or so

Great gun, lots of fun to shoot. Accepts a variety of ammo. From heavy hunting loads in .44 mag to .44special. plinking. A nice gun to reload for as well.

When you recieve your new Henry, give it a good once over, double check all screws from the front sight back as part of your cleaning. Then, check again after your first outing. I experienced as have others, screws that loosen up a bit, and we all agree that BLUE LOKTITE will help. Your Henry will digest all ammo you put in it.
