With all the talk about Henry quality control I would like to repost about my Long Ranger and include more pictures. This picture of Willy Boy and the rifle has been posted before. The furniture is beautiful and without any imperfections. The receiver is beautiful and without any imperfections. Sorry about the soft focus; remember the new camera thread. The forestock is beautiful and without any imperfections. I would like to thank these workers that fired, checked for ammo, inspected the entire rifle, and the worker that packaged the rifle for shipment. Please note the rifle was born on January 24, 2018. I took delivery of the rifle on February 26, 2018. This rifle did not sit around for very long. I gave this rifle a thorough half hour inspection examining every part and inch of it up close. No where on it could I find a spot with a blemish or ding. The action works perfect. The magazine snaps in solid and releases easy. The bore is clean and bright. The trigger is crisp and smooth. Even the packaging was perfect. I would give it a perfect grade of 100%. This rifle could not be made any more perfect.

Yes, it is a very nice rifle! Congrats! I suspect it will have many years of shooting. Of course, you being the first or second if you count the test firing.

just curious, what does its serial number reveal about how many have been made ?

Without saying my number they have made less than 1,800.

thanks for the number .... I remember a while back a comment being made that they had gone into production but I can't find it .... my interest is simply a curiosity as to their rate of production

It is a beauty. My BB 45 Colt was the same. Flawless.

You hit a home run with that one. Can't wait to read the the first range report.

That is a beauty! My H009 30-30 was like that, too when it was new. Actually, I guess it still is.

Oh, and this may be a bit off topic, but do you know that if cats were bigger, they’d kill us? It’s true. Kinda scary.

SH beautiful rifle. I'm very impressed with what appears to be the quality of the checkering. I feel very much the same way about my 45/70. It was flawless. The wonderful surprise was seeing the serial number was under 1,000!

Thanks for reminding me of the inspection tickets. I still have the original boxes for my Henry's. I'm sure the tags are in there along with the anti-rust paper wrapping. I should dig them out and record the birthdays.

sir Henry,My .223 long ranger is also flawless. put over 40 rounds through it today.All I can say is it will make one awesome coyote rifle for a left hand shooter. Hope you have lots of fun shooting your new rifle.

About like when I bought my BBB a couple years ago. Literally perfect without a blemish. I was nearly in disbelief after looking it over. NOW - has it stayed this way??? WEll CLOSE! but handling & use is going to inflict a few 'beauty marks' on any gun. I am careful - for one always cased and never open carry in a vehicle, IE butt on the floor leaning on the front seat like so many do. I have been known to lay a rifle on a soft blanket on the back seat for quick access in the event of a passing 'yote but not too often.
