I've used flitz and a microfiber cloth. Unfortunately I got swirls in the brass. I assuming that's probably normal. Have any of you found a way to remove the light scratches made from cleaning

I use the SS pins. I then let them dry 1 day then tumble in crushed walnut media with a little Nu-Finish wax. Brass comes out shinier than new brass

It may take a few attempts, but Flitz should eventually polish the scratches out. I think Flitz should be removed while it's still a bit wet for best results. Like you, I use a microfiber cloth to remove the Flitz and polish it, but I use a Q-Tip to apply it (which lets me avoid the screws so they don't lose their bluing). I usually do it in stages; first one side, then the other, then the top, then the bottom.

"Never Dull" does the trick for me. No swirling.
