Ongoing problem with light primer strikes on my new Brass Big Boy (Update)

My rifle has been sent back after the third attempt by Henry at getting it right.
I haven’t shot yet. Gonna wait until Saturday when it isn’t raining.
The rifle has had light primer strikes on 22% of shots fired over 4 boxes of Underwood, Hornady, Barnes Vortex and Remington UMC.
So far I’m about $130 into ammo just testing after being returned “repaired” twice.
I have 2 boxes of Barnes left and will use that to test it Saturday .

I wanted this rifle for a long time but couldn’t justify it for such a niche gun, but broke down and bought one!
I love the rifle, the groups it shoots , the handling and nostalgic feeling….. if the darn thing would simply shoot!

I have been as patient as possible and Henry customer service has been nothing but apologetic and nice the whole time!

If the rifle still has the issue, I’m going to request it be replaced or refund my money.
I just hope I don’t throw it off the mountain!

I just bought another brand 22 magnum because I’ve seen no reason yet to trust Henry, although the reputation is stellar.

Even if there are no failures Saturday , I’ll have to run a bunch of rounds before I trust it hunting .

I love these rifles , so I hope it is going to be a blip on the radar! But at this time I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. That may change.

I hope it performs perfectly, but even if it does, I don't blame you if you're not completely confident.
If worse comes to worse, Ruger should have their 1894 44's out this Spring.
I want one of their 357's.

I hope it works out for you if it doesnt a refund would be my request. 3 times with the same issue is ridiculous. Someone should be test firing it at Henry.

DVM I hope this time Henry actually fixed your problem. I know the frustration and expense of sending guns to Henry and not having the problem fixed. I have a BBS that Henry that I sent back to Henry five times for bad barrels. My problem was never fixed. Polite apologies are nice but they do not pay for the wasted ammunition, time and gas. I keep hoping that Henry will fix their quality control problems because I would like to buy one of their single shots.

If things don’t work out at the range tomorrow, I’ll just pre-order the Ruger/Marlin 44 with the refund.
I hope it works out because I really love the rifle!

I have the Winchester Short Carbine in 44 Mag. Love that rifle but also looking to add a solid top in 44 Mag so told the LGS to be on the look out for either a Henry Steel or a Marlin when they come out hopefully later this month. I have a Henry Classic in .357 and happy with it but want the steel in .44

Update:
Took my rifle out today and shot 80 rounds.
Been thinking about starting a YouTube channel and recorded the results as my first video !
