I went to the end of our farm and set up with my second 357 big boy steel

This rifle needed the rear sight almost maxed out to centre on the bullseye . The rifle shot really low @ 50 yards.I don't have pictures but I can tell you after the adjustment it shot very nice and accurate with everything I fed it in the 158 grain .I cant see the sights very well but I did my best The Federal Eagle are a bit snappy in 158 grain typical of federal .I also fired some old 158 grain Winchester white box that was very accurate as well

I think this is one slick rifle ,I don't mind the recoil pad at all.


I fired my 44 mag 1894 Marlin and I could not get the 44 to shoot the 240 A-FRAME at all ,but it loved the Black hills ammo very much in 240 grain and the 265 Hornady and the 280 Woodleigh extremely well It maybe the A-Frame are .429 and the rest were .430

But I love my two BBS 357 mags and my Marlin too

The only distance I've been able to shot my BBS 357 is about 15 yards. I have a range booked at the end of October (this is what we have to do in SoCal to get space to shoot). Looking forward to seeing how close the sights are at 100 yards.

I do miss the city life at times but my Lord I am blessed to have the time and area to do as I want when I want

I only have 13 neighbours and I need to travel 50 kilometers for gas or whatever

I'm jealous of TWO Big Boy Steel .357s! Nobody needs TWO! I think you should pack one up and send it my way.

Thanks! Life isn't bad here aside from the politics and cost of living. But to get enough space to shoot I either need to reserve the 100 yard private range at a cost of $120 for the day (and book 4 months in advance for a weekend) or drive 3 hours into the desert out by Barstow. Both are acceptable but not easy!

Hello ,I hear you loudly as I love California in general ,my wife travels almost every 2 weeks for work there and sometimes I tag along .I love the US as in my hometown of Stephenville NFLD almost 70 thousand American Airforce served there until 1966 ,I was a kid but lots of guys came to our place for supper as My dad worked on the Base ,but up here the weather and taxes can cripple a guy ,I do like to have time to shoot my Henry rifles and the space without thundering rounds from other shooters along my side going off

Sorry, all this talk makes glad I live in Iowa.
No way would I consider CA for living. A close friend of mine Lives in and has been robbed in San Diego, I wouldn't trade with him. He can't even get a carry permit.
