Anyway I checked it for loading and cycling some dummy 45 Colt rounds and then test fired an empty case with a primer to check the firing pin action.
First thing was to see if my Banish 45 can would screw on the barrel. It did but it bottoms out on the threads and not the shoulder of barrel cut and a spacer will be needed which I can make. Then moved on to removing the black polymer stock and putting on the good ol Henry wood. Only trick to that was getting the mag tube dovetail retainer bracket to get started in the barrel while on the tube....tricky but got it.
The wood fits good and tight and looks right. The sights on the X models are really nice and was great to see the front sight bead sits right on top of the Banish suppressor! In pic you can see the green dot showing.
Have to machine up a .080 thick steel spacer to make sure the suppressor tightens up square and will do that tomorrow.
