Still waiting!

I ordered a Big Boy Silver in 45LC back in January 2020 and I've just been told it will be another 6 months before I am likely to see it! I know we've had Covid19, fair enough and then the USA had an election and every one started buying guns - so much so Henry stopped international orders. But another 6 months!
How long would you wait in the USA to buy one of these?

you must do what's right for you .... for me, I'd rather wait for one I really want than to spend money on something that isn't what I really want

My 327 took 12months or more to get my hands on here in Aus and that was pre covid.
Decided I wanted one as soon as Henry added the chambering, contacted the Australian Henry importer and asked if they would be bringing any into the country. They informed me they had no plans to but would happily do so if the received orders from licenced dealers. Put a deposit down with a dealer and the wait for it started.
Son was lucky he found the 44 in the model he was chasing in stock with a dealer 12 months back. I dont think the importer has had any model of Henry in stock for over a year. Hasn't been limited to Henry there are similar supply issues with just about every manufacturer so much so that second hand firearms are bring almost new money.

I've told my dealer I am going to wait, its the gun I've set my heart on and a substitute won't do!

The same can be said about the Good ole USA.
Been temped to sell a few but so far I've managed to resist the urge.

Interesting. When I bought my BB steel ( rifle) about 2 years ago, it came with the standard loop. Had to buy the large loop from Henry, as I like it better. The Carbine came with the large loop.
Paid just ove $650.00 for the rifle and $50.00 for the large loop.

Mark, when I bought my BBS in 41 mag., first year of production,
I did the very same thing for the same reason. At that time Henry had no plans to make the carbine in a 41
Which I really preferred, oh well.
Then last year forty bought a CCH 357 which came with the large loop, and he didn't want it so I swapped him my regular lever for his large loop.
That I put on my BBB in 44 mag.

Good story Randy...that worked out well.
My hand just seems to find that large loop faster. I also usually have gloves on when I ride the 4-Wheeler up the mountain.
As far as I'm concerned, the large loop is a must when wearing gloves...at least for me.

357 leverguns are really hot right now and people are paying above the suggested list price by the manufacturer. I got over 1500 for a Marlin on GB and I never thought I would ever get that much.

I will wait for my lgs to procure my rifle if they can. Their prices are their usual markup (in line with internet sites) sales tax, and nics . Can't afford anything else especially a bidding war. Thanks for the heads up though.

I’m guilty of thinking in Arctic Pesos. $1277 USD is $1596 CAD. I wouldn’t love to pay that either. Non-sidegate and X models are much cheaper.

After a 9-10 months wait I emailed Anthony at Henry and explained the situation. His secretary of whoever monitored his mail and they found a rifle and had it shipped to my dealer. Good luck on your hunt for a new Henry
