.44 twist rate vs bullet weight?
Re: .44 twist rate vs bullet weight?
The Hammerdown ammo seems to be good. I took a couple of quick shots at 25 yards (Federal says a 25 yard zero will only be 2” low at 100?!?) and a couple of shots at 50. First one was a bit high, dial it down a few clicks and I was into a happy-ish place. Definitely MOD. That’s “Minute of Deer”.

That's a good start

Just take your cleaning rod and affix a wrap of making tape with a short tab sticking up, put on a bore brush or tight patch and count the revs of the tape/tab.
Didnt henry use to use a 1:38 or something crazy slow like that? They rebarreled my BB a few years back and now I have a 1:20 or 18, dont recall exactly off the top of my head but its not the relly slow twist they formerly used. I can at least get really good accuracy with this one load using a 240gr slug.

Please always remember to never forget, No matter where you go, there you are.
